Not too long ago, we had a chance to speak with G-Shock’s founding father, Kikuo Ibe, and featured Ibe and his story with G-Shock here on Freshness. This month, while G-Shock continues to Shock The World with their global tour, the brand is releasing a new Crazy Color Series and a limited edition collaborative piece with The Brooklyn Circus.
The releases this month focuses on the larger and rounder DW-6900. For the collaboration with The Brooklyn Circus, the watch is done up in a simple black/white colorway with red accents and elephants logo on the face. The watch comes in a special vintage sepia colored packaging for an old-school safari feel.
The Crazy Color Series so far features three watches in bright purple blue and green, and the watches come with matching face and backlight color. Even the “G-Shock” logo on the watch rim is colored to match the rest of the piece. We know G-Shocks are practically indestructible, but we have no qualms about getting them in more colorways for a change.
