Dolla, whose real name was Roderick Anthony Burton II — was shot to death near the La Cienega Boulevard entrance to the mall’s parking structure about 3:10 p.m. Monday, said a lieutenant at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Station.
Burton was rushed to nearby Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he died, police said. His publicist, Sue Vannasing, said her client was shot in the head while he and another rapper, D.J. Shabbazz, were waiting after shopping at the mall.
