Notorious Thugs

For quite some time the African-American players in the Nation Basketball Association have been categorized as thugs, it obviously is an acronym for Tall Humans Using Potential. The thugnificent nature of these stereotypes became prevalent during the Allen Iverson era; in which the popularity of cornrows and tattoos exploded....But I find ironic how America's most notorious thugs, Corporate America, are distinguished by neither trademark.

I'll let that thought fester for a second...

The other night after the Denver Nuggets & Dallas Mavericks playoff game, the Dallas fans were heckling Denver Nuggets forward Kenyan Martin and his mother, calling the Nuggets players thugs. To add injury to insult, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban added on to that statement saying that it included Lydia Moore's son, Kenyan Martin. That was Saturday, May 9. The NBA has taken no action against him.

The same people who claimed they wanted to showcase their players professionalism by changing the the dress code, remain silent when an owner of a franchise makes a statement of such ignorance. A side of accountability, anyone?
