Helping to bridge the move from Summer to Fall comes the Burberry Prorsum Pre Autumn/Winter 2009 collection. The outerwear is strong as expected from Burberry with trenches in a variety of cuts - from the oversized military look to more drab style finishes. Strong knitwear also works well but I am still hesitant on the velvet. As Christopher Bailey puts it, “The season is about reinvention - redefining and re-modernising the core of what Burberry stands for with our authentic British spirit and point of view.”
Personally, I've always enjoyed how Burberry makes simplicity iconic. Their trends are so timeless that I am sure that my grandfather and I could share one of these peacoats. Their style is not at all flashy, but still void of any dull moments. This collection reminds me of a private eye's wardrobe.
