I missed the fireworks last night and I'm pretty pissed about it. As long as I get to see them on TV tonight, I'll be ok. In honor of Independence Day, there are a few movies I suggest to pass the time on this lazy Saturday afternoon.
First choice above all is of course Independence Day. It's is a great movie and it kind of makes you realize how much people really love Will Smith. Its going to be a classic whether you want to say it or not. We will be watching this one for many year to come.
Also, The Patriot is a GREAT Independence Day movie. A bit campy because Mel Gibson is from Australia so... yeah. It's about a man on a quest to redeem his family and fight back against those damn Redcoats during the Revolutionary War. Heath Ledger is in this one as well as some other familiar faces.
Enjoy the holiday and take some time out for yourself. In honor of the 4th, here is some Schoolhouse Rock to take you back to your childhood.
